CORE VALUES & ETHICS

Borrowing the words of Thomas Paine in his postscript to his introduction to Common Sense, we are unconnected with any political party, and operate under no sort of influence but that of reason and principle. Our work begins with a set of core beliefs and values — they guide everything we do. Our honor code and high ethics never allow us to waver from them.

We only represent individuals and organizations that have goals and purposes that align with ours, and we only fight for issues that increase personal and organizational freedom and/or crush tyranny, eliminate oppressions of body and mind and elevate the condition of men and women.

CORE BELIEFS

  • Men and women are basically good.
  • Men and women are spiritual beings, not pieces of meat that evolved out of mud.
  • Every man and woman is born with personal freedom and the same fundamental human rights.
  • Free men and women advance a civilization, not governments.
  • A true, legitimate government exists to protect this personal freedom and these fundamental human rights of every member of society. This means it’s the government’s job to crush tyranny in all its forms, and to destroy all attempted oppressions of body and mind.
  • Our public education system must not only diffuse knowledge among the people, but train every member of society how to:
    • Be responsible for securing the means of their own survival.
    • Live ethical lives so they do not oppress others.
  • We must always deal with our fellow men and women — even our enemies — with humanity, dignity and respect of their fundamental human rights. We must set a good example if we are to lead the world to a bright and free future.
  • For those members of society who fail to live ethical lives, justice and punishment should be in the form of correction, rehabilitation and then giving back to society.
  • Every one of us deserves a second chance once we have completed our correction program.

[I]t is the nature and intention of a constitution to prevent governing by party by establishing a common principle that shall limit and control the power and impulse of party, and that says to all parties, thus far shalt thou go and no further. —THOMAS PAINE
