NATURAL HEALTH

The Firm represents the American Wellness Coalition to give a voice in our government to a group of Americans including:

• Natural Health practitioners and service providers in the areas of Acupressure, Acupuncture, Body Cleansing and Detoxification, Chiropractic, Exercise and Fitness, Herbal Remedies, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Nutrition and Wellness;
• Natural Health product manufacturers and distributors in the areas of organic foods, beverages, vitamins, minerals and other nutritional supplements;
• Consumers of the above Natural Health products and services;
• Health Freedom advocates.

The ultimate goal of the Coalition is to effectively shift the primary focus of public policy in America from disease management to the actual prevention of sickness and disease by natural means that have proven to be safe and effective.

Its basic purpose is to deliver effective political communications that educate our elected leaders properly, and work with them to:

• Pass legislation that helps to break organized medicine's monopoly, requires Informed Consent and advances genuine Health Freedom;
• Kill misinformed legislation that strengthens organized medicine's existing monopoly and further oppresses Natural Health practices and products that have proven to be safe and effective.

Members of the Coalition believe it's wrong for the government to give organized medicine the benefits and privileges of a monopoly on health care in America, and to oppress safe, effective Natural Health practices and products that give Americans the ability to take personal responsibility and create lasting health for themselves and their families.

Laws and regulations currently facilitate the “medicalization” of society. A long list of behaviors, conditions and symptoms of illness have been effectively turned into “syndromes, disorders and diseases” so expensive medical “treatments” and drugs can be prescribed. At the same time, government has been assuming greater control over vitamins, nutritional supplements and Natural Health practices, and restricting our right to choose the manner in which we manage our health and nutritional needs.

Today, almost all of the $1.4 trillion spent on direct health care in the United States goes to treating diseases, while doing nothing to create general health and address the root causes of abnormal behaviors, conditions and symptoms.
